Kevin Wang
Managing Partner | Ginkgo Bridge LLP
Kevin Wang is the Managing Partner of Ginkgo Bridge LLP and a cross-border legal strategist with more than fifteen years of experience spanning judicial practice, litigation, corporate advisory work, and legal education. Admitted to practice law in both California and the People’s Republic of China, Kevin leads the firm’s China–U.S. practice. He focuses on complex matters that cross the two jurisdictions, including U.S. immigration and investment, cross-border asset tracing, judgment enforcement, and China–U.S. commercial transactions and disputes.
Full-Spectrum U.S. Immigration Practice
Kevin represents individuals, families, and businesses across the full spectrum of U.S. immigration law, from contested proceedings to business and investment immigration.
On the defensive side, Kevin represents clients in removal proceedings before the immigration courts, including applications for asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture, and in appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals. Where agency action is unreasonably delayed or legally deficient, he evaluates federal court remedies, including mandamus actions.
On the affirmative side, Kevin handles humanitarian, family-based, employment-based, and investment-based matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Department of State. His business immigration practice covers:
- EB-5 investment immigration
- EB-1A extraordinary ability petitions
- National Interest Waivers
- EB-2 and EB-3 classifications
- PERM labor certification
- H-1B and other nonimmigrant visa matters
He prepares legal memoranda, business plans, and responses to Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny, with an emphasis on building a complete evidentiary record from the outset.
Kevin’s EB-5 practice is a particular area of depth. He conducts source-of-funds analysis, fund tracing, Targeted Employment Area compliance review, and project due diligence, and drafts source-of-funds narratives for investors whose capital originates in China. He also advises regional centers, developers, and investment funds on USCIS compliance. His dual qualification allows him to assess PRC-origin documentation, capital-export pathways, and corporate records with an understanding of both the Chinese legal context in which they were created and the U.S. evidentiary standards they must satisfy.
Cross-Border Asset Tracing and Judgment Enforcement
Kevin represents clients seeking to identify and recover assets located in the United States. His work includes conducting lawful and compliant investigative research to locate assets, initiating litigation and pursuing provisional remedies, enforcing foreign and domestic judgments, and recovering outstanding obligations. He integrates Chinese-side evidence, judgments, and procedural history directly into U.S. enforcement strategy.
Cross-Border Business and Disputes
Kevin advises Chinese enterprises and families on structuring investments in the United States and on cross-border transactional and compliance matters. He coordinates dispute resolution strategies that require parallel or sequential action in both jurisdictions, so that steps taken in one jurisdiction support, rather than undermine, the client’s position in the other.
Integrated China–U.S. Service Framework
Kevin is leading the development of a China–U.S. Integrated Cross-Border Legal Services Framework that coordinates legal teams in both jurisdictions under a single engagement strategy.
Within this framework:
- Sichuan Shenji Law Firm (China) handles client intake, initial case assessment, evidence preparation, domestic compliance support, and asset and background due diligence.
- Ginkgo Bridge LLP (United States) handles U.S. immigration strategy and filings, U.S. litigation and dispute resolution, commercial transactions and investment structuring, and cross-border asset tracing and enforcement.
The framework gives clients continuity from first consultation in China through final resolution in the United States, without the information loss that typically occurs when separate firms work in isolation.
Background and Experience
Kevin received his foundational legal education at Southwest University of Political Science & Law, one of China’s leading law schools, and holds a Ph.D. in Law. He completed advanced U.S. legal studies at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School.
Before establishing his U.S. practice, Kevin served as a law professor at a leading Chinese university. He participated extensively in major civil, commercial, and criminal matters, including high-stakes disputes involving more than RMB 10 billion. He has provided legal advisory, compliance, and risk-control services to state-owned enterprises, private companies, and high-net-worth individuals, and is known for clear analysis and practical, business-oriented advice.
Following his relocation to the United States, Kevin built a practice at the intersection of China–U.S. capital flows, mobility, and enforcement. It combines courtroom-tested litigation judgment with the documentary rigor required in business and investment immigration.
