IMMIGRATION SERVICES

Temporary Protected Status

A safe haven when returning home is not possible.

OVERVIEW

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) lets nationals of designated countries stay in the United States when armed conflict, natural disaster, or other extraordinary conditions make return unsafe. The government decides which countries qualify and sets strict filing windows.

People with TPS are protected from deportation and can get work permits. Designations are extended and ended often, and a missed deadline can cost you your status. We confirm whether your country is designated, check your eligibility, and file on time.

HOW WE HELP

— Eligibility review, including residence and presence dates

— Initial TPS applications

— Re-registration for each extension period

— Work permits and travel permission

— Other options if a designation ends
